WHERE IS ORPHEUS?
LONG AGO Orpheus lived. He lived in the heart of the first musician, and in the songs that came of them, the melodies that remain in the very air we breathe, even if we do not remember them. Something remains of every vibration in every universe in every song and every event in the world. Orpheus lives on.
Now Orpheus went with the civilizations of the world, living in them and through the people, especially in those talented and creative, and those who listened and heard. But mostly after Orpheus was born through the sound and light of God, he became a man in each place, living through the time and ways of the people as best he could, and becoming something of a myth to those who sensed him, but did not know him well. Orpheus alone knew what he was, and the muse sings through him, like the sound and light that lives in each man, and without which, none could exist.
Orpheus has walked the world, in each era, and time, through single individuals who may not even have realized all that was being created and done through them. The story of the world is the story of the one, but the one is like the tree with a million limbs. So the one seed has flourished, from Elysium to Eden, and from Greece to the Present time. And Orpheus still walks among us.
Orpheus life is a mystery, but we may track the one Orpheus through the history of the music, and the songs, and the events of our times. Orpheus was alive in New York during the Brill Building songwriters and Carole King, and when Dylan and Hendrix and still when Ono and Lennon came, or during the Fillmore years, and he was in England during Apple and the Beatles, and saw Donovan's flowers in Royal Albert Hall. He was in California with Fleetwood Mac and Rumours, and the entire Santana overture.
UNSEEN ORPHEUS and the FIVE DEATH'S
It was then the dark mood of Rock took over, in Punk, and Metal times, Disco and Dearth alike, Pop control and U2 battles, the times when Orpheus seem to have disappeared. He was said to have been seen in Island tropical sunsets, and writing music about music and the sound and light, on the Beaches of Hawaii, or in the high desert of the west. He may have been in Texas as Country music rose, and in Arizona when Stevie Nicks did Trouble in Shangri La. His walls may have been covered with the history of Music, for a time, while alone and unknown, he still was full of Joy.
But Orpheus too has seen a lot of death, as the day the music died, in New York in 71with disciples Jimi and James and Janis and Duane, the All-man that was taken away. He was living also in the south at Rock's third death, when Elvis took his life, as Disco flourished, and pop media power took control. (Rock's first death was Buddy Holly and the three on the plane in 59"). He was also relative as John Lennon fell as Rock's fourth death occured, and he slept near the place where the killer had dwelled. He was close to South carolina when James Brown slipped, for this is true that each time and breath is another step in the rise and fall, life after life. For Orpheus lives on even as the music died and lived so many times, even in the same lifetime.
It is possible Orpheus returned to the mainland, and traveled, and lived again as the Music revived, while the estranged one lived near Orpheus lived in the northwest and Malibu Canyon, near as Dylan himself returned to music and film just down the beach, and River Pheonix' ultimately passing in Johnny Depp's club. He was on the coast during Rock's fifth death by Nirvana's Kurt Cobain. But Orpheus had nothing to do with any of these things, only that he was near, channeling to those who could hear, and who heard the sound current flowing in them, to live life, not death, and find a way in the spirit through its' expression which is impossible to repeat, though many have tried, even as a few boldly go where none have before. Orpheus takes his hat to each and all, grateful for them, just as when he hears any of the songs.
"Every song you hear comes back to you returned
if you learn love of life, you will learn,
to just imagine, and in a moment, you will see,
you have risen above this world, and you can be,
we together we can be, on this wave of light and sound!"
(lyrics from the song Light and Sound, paneagle, eagleworks, copyright, @2000)
THE SOUND REMAINS THE SAME
Now today we have "American Idol", and "So you think you can Dance", to comprise vehicles for music and the dance of life in sound and light. But Orpheus knows he like many now are channels again for this eternal sweet song, from Jewel to Eminen, to Jack Johnson or John Mayer. Each fallen angel perhaps, so many unseen, something so often in the way of the true creativity. They may say it is money, or power, or greed or control, each a God itself, each is a channel as best they can be. That is the world, and the world is as it is. But Orpheus knows this well. This is not so much loss, but a tool and a way. To gain the renewing spirit of light within them, so they may once again become liberated and free, as the original in the nation, or the world. The Orpheus song plays in the Orpheum theatre of life, especially in the sound of HU, that speaks to the world each day within Soul, within us as sound and light.
Where Orpheus is, his spirit lives. Rock was born in the 50's and the 60 year cycle is going to be complete in this next decade. What music will arrive? What shall
express the new incarnation of Orpheus alive? Who can say how many will now become pure channels for its' love, this spirit reality, that Orpheus like all true Gods, maintain? It has nothing to do with power, and so it shall remain.
The power of music is in love. And for this, we are all beyond repair. Orpheus may one day not exist, and in this possibility, what Orpheus is, must ever be. Because without him, we are so far the less, that all would end. So the song goes on forever, and each day comes another sun, and another SOL, and the birth of another life. As Orpheus' creations live, and brings us to see, we are the poet or pan the piper and the player, each a story in itself, to then see we become what we cause to effect. This endless prayer is one of those songs to sing.

THE SOUND CURRENT
WHAT IS THE SOUND OF LIGHT?
Music originates in the original SOUND. This SOUND comes of the twin aspects of spirit, in the world as light and sound, which the musical artist or composer hears within and reflects without. We naturally appreciate the songs and sounds which reflect that hearing the original SOUND. The sound is of the result of the original Dhun(SOUND CURRENT) known also as Spirit, which is known in the world as the Varn or reaction of the atoms and vibration frequencies upon each other and of instruments which bring forth sound. Musicians find this sound even if they do not know the original directly, of which a certain freedom and respect is known in us or through the music. How wondrous is this SOUND original, and how fortunate to receive its impressions and tones. We know music has saved and breathed in many a Soul.
HISTORY OF SOUND
Rock music has a long heritage originating in the first sound, the first voice, and then the first songs, which simple were voiced by hearts first knowing the joy of sound. The music linked musician to instrument, and spiritually and by instrumental church music and then gospels, from the organ, string lute or harpsichord then classical composers began to know the tradition and techniques which was founded in cultural music or local and gypsy songs and led to folk, culture, dance, blues, down to acoustic or electric country, bluegrass, jazz, folk-rock, rock and roll, fusion, alternative, hip-hop and rap. This evolution of music has culminated in a world technology expressing and coordinating sound from the original continental and "Iginal" styles of Africa, Asia, Europe and now America to a world-wide cultural and revolutionary progression and depth of meaning in music today.
THE END OF AN ERA
60's advent and revolution in music brought was the evocation of highly expressive artistry and international recognition via radio and electronics to our present composite. Rock was the principle form began in the 1950's that will find 60 year cycle completion around 2015, where we predict a new musical culture will begin, perhaps polyphonic, or of another chord progression orientation to express the growing need for unity among cultures and world people. This faces a kind of elimination which is not eradicating the past, but like classical era, will generate or degenerate from the perfection that came before. We present some of the history of music to provide an insight into this new millenium, which will include our historical past, but present a brand new world evolutionary future that must also come of the end of the past tradition or brilliance. Man evolves and de-evolves musically and worldly, among his own, or within the wider universal scope. This too means rock in a sense is dead. The drawing to a close and presentation of the higher or wider view of existence includes musical taste and appreciation. SOUND will go on, as will music, and art, and we too must find the true blend of art and life.
THE SOUND it seems will or could be the principal music. The HU is of the original song, and this sound is special and spirituality at its source. The depth of sound itself is expressed in the sound which is in all life, but was of the original which made it. So THE SOL ROCKER brings out the past and the future in this one key element which is presented in a open, universal way, for all to hear. This one pure HU is something we may all know, and find in the beauty of each moment. Life is for this spiritual door, and integrated evolution which you and I can know today.

THE LEGEND BEGINS
12 DISCIPLES OF MODERN MUSIC
The 12 disciples of Modern (Rock, Blues, Jazz) Music:
(All were speakers, innovators, leaders, rebels, and matyrd in some way)
John Lennon, Paul Simon, Peter Yarrow, David Clayton Thomas and BJ Thomas, Thelonius Monk, James Hendrix, James Morrison (the last), John Phillips, Nat King Cole, Andrew Loog Oldham, Dave Matthews, and Jerry Garcia. We may speak of one as Judas (Jerry Garcia or Bob Dylan, both notified not as the destroyer, unless perhaps it is of ignorance. These were those aware of the Jesus' inspired messenger who saved the other disciples by sacrificing their own Master efforts We may include Bob Dylan who was once was called Judas, but we do not wish to excommunicate anyone, for he was a speaker, if not the Leader in the entire musical movement. Who can deny the like to Jesus himself, as a pre-eminent speaker writer musician in this entire historical period, who even took up the cross himself ("serve somebody") and as I understand it, in some form, he still does. None took the place of the savior speaking to the world, but all our voices for it, of course, with some more than others.
A disciple may be defined as who serves the Master. Thusly, each of these twelve holds a name of one of the original 12 disciples. In modern music, these 12 were instruments in modern day service to the spirit of sound and light in music and the world. They each served in their own area, and led a movement or spring of the original music in any particular vein which they produced in rock, blues, jazz, country, pop, folk, vocal groups, rhythm and blues, soul, metal, alternative, and fusion. Many crossed the barriers of musical types and were the disciples of the beauty of song, and music in modern times. Of course we shall not take the names of the lord in vain, but we might notice these twelve are like all of us channels for and messengers of the original message, however they may express it.
We can also see the history of the disciple names in many regards to modern or ancient times, through those such as Johann Bach, Dylan Thomas, and Matthew Brady,
in various fields, always demonstrating the sound and light in particular forms. In fact, we can say all are disciples, with some particular channel or talent, and just as individuals, so we may see also the ancients gods, or in the current people in the list of 144 saint-angels of modern music. We are not making these all religious icons, but showing the greater view of what it means to be a disciple or human with a real spirituality, of which music is one of those special expressions.
The 12 Modern Disciples: John Lennon of the Beatles, Peter Yarrow of Peter Paul and Mary, Thelonius Monk Jazz instrumentalism, Nat King Cole, John Phillips of Mamas and the Papas, Producer Andrew Loog Oldham of the Rolling Stones, Paul Simon of Simon and Garfunkel, David Clayton Thomas of Blood Sweat and Tears and BJ Thomas, who did raindrops keep falling on my head and other crossover music fro the country and popular themes, reaching millions with the same sound word that included the likes of James Hendrix of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, James Morrison of the Doors who could be called James the last, the Dave Matthews Band, and Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. Andrew Loog Oldham produced the White infusion of afro-american rhythm and blues by the Rolling Stones, greatest pure rock and roll band of the era, and was later released from control. All were took form of prophets and speakers of the time, transcended musical motiffs, died or were denied in some way during their lifetimes and achieved notoriety, a strong definition of a matryr, just as all the disciples were.
THE SPECIAL SONGMAKERS - John Lennon was the Messiah of Modern Rock and Roll, leading the most influential and recognized band in the world. Peter Yarrow brought together the Folk Humanitarian movement to world wide attention with simple melodies and a group context, both within, and without their music. Thelonius Monk ushered modern jazz improvisation of the essential sound word of music. Nat King Cole was an original presenter of the voice into blues, jazz, and rhythm and blues intepretation with soulful attention breaking through the barrier of race, in a pure way leading many others behind him. John Phillips most memorably led the folk pop rock generation with the freedom and love movement. Paul Simon's sweet ballad and "sound of silence" arrangements also included the transition multi-ethnic or internationally inspired unity. David Clayton Thomas soulful interpretations of pop spirit in larger context of universal man. James Hendrix's most dynamic solo guitar artist in the world heralded electronic and universal themes. James Morrison related the spoken word and independence spirit. Jerry Garcia's special immortality of expressive combination of blues with folk with sonic progressions led an entire generation to open space and beyond linear concepts in sound.
MODERN DISCIPLES OF THE SOUND
In modern up to date terms, Dave Matthews expanded the modern generation in fusion of blues and rhythm jazz expression, speaking of man as a whole spirit, even if still and always individual. Why these 12? However imperfect there lives are, they are all heralds and prophets in their own way taking up the living word as best they understood it. Of course we shall see others appear to take on the twelve disciples, just as before. Here, we may soon follow with the 144 Angel-Saints of modern music.

THE SOUL ROCKER
THE SOUL ROCKER LIVES TODAY
A TRUE STORY OF THE ROCK LEGEND
This story is not a myth. This life has been real. There is a real Soul rocker, and his name was Orpheus. His life may have been above the underworld, but it was found somewhere below rock and roll heaven. Orpheus has lived, and this is the music.
You may never realize the power of a life in sound and music, and if we don't speak up, you may not hear it. The world is a changing, but the times remain the same. The music is eternal, a symphony of sound, but the songs we write may drift away into space, because if the music of our life is never known, then it may never be heard from.
YOUTHFUL SOUL FREEDOM
They say people born in the 50's are a bit crazy, descendents of aliens, or the strangers in a strange land. Orpheus was born in 51', the year of the Cat. They also call it the year of the Rabbit. Keywords come to mind; 9 lives and many births. Running down a dream. Strawberry Fields. The Year of the Cat. He heard it all, while he never had anything. The music was a dream he knew was real.
You may not realize it, but Orpheus has been rocking ever since birth. He came at the end of the apex of rock star births. Before puberty, the boy began to rock and roll, first in the boys' bicycle gang they called the rolling wheels, after the Stones who later called their tour steel wheels. Keith Richard was born in the same month, and Jagger was born a sheep, friend of the cat. Loving them live, they were older contemporaries. They have never known him, but he has known them. Is it not how God knows us, but we know not God. How this affected us is the sad part of the story.
Orpheus was a late bloomer. You may not realize it, but Orpheus still lives, and his life and the music we made has changed the world. From Holly to the Beatles to Madonna to Prince, the artist with no name, this is the urban myth as true story of the life and times of a true Soul rocker. Orpheus lives for today! The songs remain the same.

Author Note: This 60th birthday, from my home on 60th avenue, the founder of the 60th harmonic SOL ASTROLOGY, and probably near my 60,000 year of my human SOUL existence, this story is presented as a history and an eternal concept of life and spirit.
